Pinot Noir Tasting at Sonoma County's Gem: Patz & Hall Winery

If you’re looking for a new winery to visit in Sonoma County, we highly suggest Patz & Hall Winery. Patz & Hall Winery has some of the most deeply-rooted relationships with experienced winegrowers who they partner with to source grapes.

A relaxing Sunday afternoon was beyond lovely sharing Patz & Hall Winery with local Bay area bloggers hosted by Winemaker James Hall. Read more below about our experience!

Guests arrived and were greeted to these stunning vineyard views. Shown is Winemaker James Hall with our very own Event Host, Emily enjoying a glass of Patz & Hall’s Rosé.

The Salon at the Sonoma House (used for private events) creates the perfect backdrop as you’re wine tasting on the Patz & Hall patio.

Our afternoon started with a welcome with some Patz & Hall Sparkling wines followed by a tasting showcasing four single-vineyard Patz & Hall wines: two Chardonnays and two Pinot Noirs from Sonoma and Carneros.

As inviting as the Salon was, the Garden House made us all want to get seated and and start looking for food pairings on the lunch menu. The table was prepared in family style, where all the bloggers could enjoy each other’s company with a wine glass placed on their hands. Our wine tasting was just getting started after all.

The guests could not get over how delicious the meal was! It paired perfectly with the Patz & Hall wines.

One of the highlights of the tasting was from one of the featured wine growers, which was the Goldrock Ridge 2017 Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast.

This spiced chicken breast was cooked perfectly with arugula leaves and a tangy dressing. What’s even better is that it was complemented with some delicious Chardonnay as part of the tasting. The different flavors definitely playfully teased each of the guest’s palate.

We definitely had a wonderful time thanks to the amazing bloggers for always being ready to take on a delicious food and wine experience with us. Of course, we cannot forget to thank James Hall for providing us this picture-perfect opportunity for a Sunday Funday! We had as much fun sipping on some spectacular wines as we did looking at the stunning views of the Sonoma House Winery. If you would like to book your own tasting with family or friends, be sure to mention that Emily Martin Events sent you. Until next time!
