SUTRO Blogger Wine Club 2021

Not only do we offer in-person events at Emily Martin Communications and Events, but we also engage in "Online Blogger Wine Clubs," where bloggers receive an exciting wine package from one of our highly curated winery clients.

SUTRO Wines, a female-owned winery based in Healdsburg, CA, is a client of ours with who we adore working with. We are thrilled to collaborate with them and send selected wine bloggers a package of outstanding SUTRO wines to enjoy.

If you would like to know learn more about SUTRO Wines, check out our Interview with Winemaker Alice Sutro here.

Located in Healdsburg, CA., this lovely winery sources its grapes exclusively through the owner’s family-owned Warnecke Ranch and Vineyards, located on Chalk Hill Road in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County.

Not only is Alice Warnecke Sutro (pictured above) the founder of SUTRO Wines; she is also a grape-grower, wine producer, and artist. She established SUTRO Wines in 2012 and oversees all areas of the company, which has since blossomed into a magnificent winery with an impressive assortment of volcanic terroir wines.

As owner of SUTRO Wines, Alice has distinguished herself as a female trailblazer that amplifies female voices in a largely male-dominated industry. Her artistry significantly contributes to the discovery of what it means to be a woman and a mother in the wine business.

SUTRO Wines' famous volcanic terroir is often described as "strong and charismatic" because of the influence that volcanic attributes have on growing conditions for grapes, including lower yields and longer maturation times.

As a result of volcanic terroir attributes in the wine, the strength and maturity of varietals becomes more expressive through their character profiles; this is what so many people adore them for!

There is no better way to celebrate International Women's Day than with a pizza night and a few glasses of female-owned SUTRO Wine's Merlot.

Organically farmed and certified sustainable, SUTRO Wine’s Cabernet Sauvignon (2017) features aromas of blueberry, blackberry, black cherry, and dark chocolate. Its balanced acidity levels derive from low yield, naturally balanced growing conditions.
