Why Professional Photography is essential for a brand


A picture is worth a thousand words. With how important social media is, it is critical that you have a professional looking account both in the content and message you are sharing and MOST importantly, in the quality of images you use.

How bad photography can negatively impact your brand:

As they say don’t judge a book by it’s cover… Well in social media, that’s exactly how you are judged!  People make their first impression of YOUR brand by looking at your Instagram feed. It is critical you have high quality images (ideally professionally shot) or else shot with the below FIVE elements:

  1. Bright lite (day light shots or brightly lit shots) do 50% better than dark night time shots where it’s hard to see what you’re sharing.

  2. Consistent styling: Be consistent with your styling whether you use a retro filter or very bright and colorful, whatever style you use stick with it.

  3. Are you using the same plates, glass wear and silver wear in each shot of your restaurant’s food?

  4. Black and white images vs. color (pick one direction and stick with it). Don't do mostly color and then weave in a black and white occasionally. Pick a lane and stick with it.

  5. Fake it until you make it. Whether you’re a small mom and pop brand or a large corporation, the quality of your marketing is important for potential customers. Even if you are small yet mighty you still can use high quality images, graphic design and other elements to look larger or more established (than you may actually be).
